Riverside’s Super Foam Corp. Wins Innovation Grant to Accelerate Manufacturing Growth
(RIVERSIDE, CA)
— Inland Empire-based
Super Foam Corp.
has received an Accelerate California Innovation Grant to help commercialize its patented foam technology, expand manufacturing partnerships, and position the company for additional public and private investment.
The Riverside company is led by CEO
Zef Neemuchwala, Lead Research Chemist
David Hernandez, and Lead Automation Engineer Jatomis Stevensen. Together, the founding team is developing lighter-weight, high-performance foam designed for use in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, personal protective equipment, and other industries requiring advanced impact protection.
“At Super Foam Corp., based in the Inland Empire region of California, we’re proud to carry forward the region’s strong legacy of innovation and manufacturing,” Neemuchwala said. “Our patented foam formulation delivers superior impact absorption at a lighter weight, produced through an automated, eco-friendly process.”
The company says its technology can help manufacturers improve product performance while supporting more sustainable and scalable production.
From Regional Incubators to Commercialization
Super Foam Corp.’s growth reflects the expanding network of innovation and entrepreneurship resources available throughout Southern California.
The company emerged from the
Crucible Program, led by NavalX, and received early-stage support from
UC Riverside’s EPIC Small Business Development Center and the
ExCITE business incubator.
Super Foam Corp. later received technical assistance and business advising through the InSoCal Accelerate Hub, one of the regional partners supporting California’s Inclusive Innovation Hub initiative.
After completing its initial grant requirements, the company was selected for a Tier 2 Innovation Grant based on its patented technology, sustainability focus, commercialization potential, and readiness for growth.
The company has also earned first-place honors at both the
Inland Empire Innovation Summit
and the
UC Riverside OASIS Challenge.
How the Funding Will Be Used
Super Foam Corp. plans to use the grant to:
- Accelerate the commercialization of its patented foam technology
- Develop customized components for manufacturing partners
- Build an automated, just-in-time production and delivery system
- Expand collaborations with early adopters
- Strengthen future SBIR and STTR funding applications
- Prepare for equity-based venture capital investment
- Develop strategic relationships with corporate partners
The investment could help the company move from product development into larger-scale manufacturing and market adoption.
The Inland Empire has long been recognized as a logistics and manufacturing center. Companies like Super Foam Corp. demonstrate the region’s potential to become an even stronger hub for advanced manufacturing, materials science, clean technology, and research-driven entrepreneurship.
The company’s progress also illustrates how entrepreneurs can combine university incubators, business advising, innovation competitions, government grants, and industry partnerships to move an idea toward commercialization.
For early-stage founders, that support can be especially valuable when traditional financing is difficult to secure.
Opportunity for Southern California Innovators
Entrepreneurs developing new technologies, products, manufacturing processes, or business models can connect with the
InSoCal Accelerate Hub
for business advising, mentorship, networking, and access to capital resources.
The hub works with startups, researchers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders seeking to commercialize innovations and build scalable companies throughout Southern California.
Super Foam Corp.’s success shows that groundbreaking manufacturing companies can emerge and grow right here in the Inland Empire. With the right combination of technical expertise, regional support, and early-stage capital, local innovators can build companies capable of serving national and global markets.
