Each year about 4,000 youth "age out" of the foster care system in California, with 65% leaving with no place to call home. These young citizens are more likely to experience such hardships and vulnerabilities as human trafficking, joblessness, early parenthood, substance abuse, homelessness, and other challenges on their paths to successful adulthood. 

Our Solution

Urban Excellence's Successful Living Program is a FREE coaching and mentoring program for today's emancipating foster youth. The program is currently available live in the Greater Los Angeles region -- and virtually, nationwide - and adapts principles of the evidence-based Transition to Independence Process (TIP) model, offering strength-based, non-stigmatizing, future-focused services, including:

• experiential learning-based transformational success trainings;
• one-on-one and peer group coaching, mentoring and support;
• health, finance, social, education, scholarship and resources navigation; and
• strategies, structures and support in developing their gifts, talents, interests, skills, and abilities in creating thriving and prosperous lives that positively contrbute their community and world.
